Here is a deliciously rich maple butter tart recipe for you to try.

Ingredients

2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1 cup maple syrup

1 cup dark corn syrup

4 large eggs

4 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Prepare tart shells as outlined in the Beginner Friendly Butter Tart Pastry recipe.

  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

  3. In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, combine the brown sugar, butter and both syrups.

  4. Add eggs, vanilla, salt and cinnamon and stir until smooth.

  5. Pour filling into prepared tart shells filling each one 3/4 full.

  6. Bake for 30 minutes.

  7. Let tarts cool in the pan for 20 minutes as the filling needs to settle before transferring them to a wire rack.

Note: The tarts can be frozen and thawed at room temperature. If there is any leftover filling, it can be frozen as well.
